Feeling Peace

What does it mean to “settle down” for you? Have you ever had to move out of the city you grew up in? Relocate for work?

My family and I moved a lot since I was four. From Hong Kong to Richmond Hill, Markham, Scarborough, Thornhill, North York, then to Kelowna, Seattle, San Francisco and now back to Kelowna. Naturally, I’m feeling fidgety to settle down since I’ve been on the road for so long. Just on the road though; not with a band like Nickelback. Though that would be amazing too.

Moving back to Kelowna, my husband and I are finally getting to settle down after both having a very nomadic life. To be here and like my mom says to “be in peace”. Today is American Thanksgiving. I hope that my family and I (mostly me, since mom and Cam are always smiley and excited) continue to remind ourselves of how lucky we are to finally get to taste, smell and move through this beautiful place feeling secure, relaxed and alive.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Wishing us love and so much more of it. We have so much of it and Lord knows we need to share it now more than ever.

Goodnight :)
